CANINE CAMP

Your life is busy, you’re going on vacation, you’re struggling with this new pup.

Board and Train is the most effective method for your dog to become a responsible member of your household.

You want to enjoy hiking with your dog off leash with a reliable recall in any situation.

Enrich the relationship you and your family have with your dog and make the most of your lives together. When communication is clear then life is better.

Take a look at the images and videos below or check out our gallery and videos to get an idea of the environment we provide.

As a certified dog trainer, I employ a balanced training approach. After completing an evaluation, your dog will board in our home for a few weeks of intense, personalized training in basic obedience and home manners. Motivational training methods are used starting with positive reinforcement during the behavior acquisition phase. Skills learned will include sit (stay), down (stay), leave it, waiting at the door, place, loose leash walking, and come (recall).

We practice these skills in the home environment (including the kitchen!) with our personal dogs and cats present to reinforce home manners.

In addition, we'll work in different dog-friendly local businesses to generalize the behaviors they learn in our home.

At the end of the training period, I will give you a one hour "go-home" lesson to teach you the skills you'll need to continuously reinforce the training. Also included are two private follow-up lessons to respond to any questions you might have during the three months following completion of the program.

"Six years old - but still such a puppy!!! Lacy is already such a better listener at home and yet still has her spirited and playful personality. We've now got the tools and techniques to stay on top of her training. Thank you for working with her Catherine!"
